Hello readers of this fantabulous blog! I am so happy you
are here! (I will bake you a cake if you give me 10 views. Incentive. Do it.
READ!) Hopefully there will be more of you than just my awesome Journalism 199
Professor and my mom who by description are required to read this blog. Love
you mom!
Confession time. Writing this blog was not my ingenious
idea, but rather a class assignment for my Journalism discovery class at the
University of Illinois. Although I write this out of obligation, I have been interested
in starting a blog in the past, but have never gotten myself to pull through.
One of my close friends has a blog that has gotten so popular that she gets
paid for it. Getting paid to write an online diary…for a journalism major like
myself, what could be better?!
I never thought I was interesting enough to write something
new about my life every other day that people would actually choose to read. Now the tables have
turned and I have come to the realization that I am the most interesting woman
in the world! And that is why I began
this blog. Kidding.
So, this extremely uninteresting girl needs to write a blog
for her journalism class. God, I need an epiphany. PLEASE!
AHA! As I sit in my extremely, super, incredibly,
fantabulously exhilarating Food Science and Health Nutrition class (FSHN 120) I
think of my blog topic! Health! I am a healthy girl, concerned about what I
eat, but not to the obsessive banana and skim milk diet point. I am simply
curious about the truths of nutrition and how the food we put in our bodies can
completely change our mood, appearance, energy and even our life!
So here you go! If you’re a proud parent, journalism
professor or average Joe (or Jane) with an interest in all things healthy, here
are my first tips for you:
Have an apple a day!
